Paul Smolensky

Paul Smolensky, a professor of Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University. Smolensky along with Alan Prince developed Optimality Theory, a controversial but influential theory about the organization of phonology. He is a member of the Center for Language and Speech Processing.
